Curtis Barrier is a company which takes the quality & durability of it's products very seriously. Our Quality Assurance/Quality Control procedures are followerd diligently;

All Welding Equipment is pre-tested by welding 1m long sample welds.

Samples are subjected to on site peel and tensile testing to determine seam weld strengths.

All Wedge Welded seams are pressure tested to 160KPA.

ALl Extrusion Welds are Vacuum Tested.

Seam Weld samples are drawn at 150 lineal meters intervales of welded seam. They are then subjected to peel Test (Destructive) and sample identified and retained as part of the QA/QC Report.

The subgrade preparation must be firm, smooth and unyielding foundation, free of debris, roots, sticks, stones angular or sharp rocks with no sudden sharp or abrupt changes in grade.

The compaction must be in accordance with design specifications and thus allow the movement of vehicles and welding equipment over the sub grade without causing rutting or stall welding equipment

The earth works contractor is responsible for maintaining the subgrade if deteriorated by climatic conditions or by vehicular traffic for the duration of the liner installation.

The QA/QC Report will include the Manufacturers QA/QC Certificate of Conformance, of Liner Specification to rolls delivered.

Daily QC Reports pertaining to the Subgrade Inspection, Pre Seam Weld test samples and results, Seam Testing and results, Liner Panel Layout with locations of testing, weld samples.
